Landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, 7th of June 2013. Travel time from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur via plane was only one hour, and the fare’s not that bad either. If you are travelling without a check-in baggage, the fare will be around SGD 60 (Jetstar hot fare). Anyway, nothing much to do near the airport so we went to the city.
There is a bus from the terminal to KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre) which leaves the airport every 30 minutes. Travel time is 1 hour and the cost is only MYR 10. Expenses in Malaysia are cheaper than Singapore, thank goodness.
Since we arrived at KLCC a little too late, we only had time to eat dinner at Nando’s.
Oh Singapore has Nando’s, too, but in Malaysia it’s cheap. Woohoo!
If you’re not brave enough like me, just order the ones with herb sauce. Mild is already spicy.
By the way, you’ll be able to see the famous Petronas Twin Towers at KLCC.
After dinner, we boarded the train to where a friend is staying. The ticketing system amazed me. For single journey, they use a chip that looks like the one used in poker games instead of the rectangular tickets. You tap this one when you enter the station, and insert in like a coin when you get out. I was tempted to keep it, but I changed my mind.
So that’s what happened on our first night in Malaysia.
